The production is dramatically cut back, with acoustic guitars and limited instrumentation. Lyrically, the project continues the themes of life immediately after high school, and explores themes of lost love, the perceived loss of community, and the hopeful search for a soulmate.

17th Street was originally released Aug. 17th, 2016 and was Jake's first official solo release. This was also the first project which features him as the sole producer, and includes features from a handful of local musicians; including high school friend Corey Hale, and future bandmate Jake Kallander. Musically, the songs drift between Jake's formative Pop/Rock influences and his early exploration of Blues. The record was released as a free record, and can be downloaded here, as well as on all platforms that support free music.
